Feed The Void
The hell that fills your head must be quenched. Do you have a life to tend to but can’t turn away from the screen? What’s your poison? Is it social media hours on end? Maybe Netflix binging or video games to take you away from this moment in life. All these things are fine in moderation but if you have living to do, if you are hungry for something more, driven sick with a desire to experience life to its fullest, you must cut out useless instant gratification.
The useless instant gratification moments add up. We all need downtime, I get that, a little rest and relaxation is good. On the other hand, if you’re torn inside from a life not realized and you suck down tons of screen time daily, you have a situation. Instant gratification can be addicting and stifle efforts to reach the big goals that require delayed gratification. Be mindful of what you fill the voids in your head with. A lifetime of staring at screens, consuming the stories that kill your boredom may be the very time you need to obtain the life you wish you had.
Fill your voids but fill them with what satisfies in the long game. Instant gratification is a time killer, its your heart beats handed over to a digital relationship. A relationship that does not reciprocate, give back or care about you. No exceptions, no excuses, no regrets. Overcome the ape.
