Hi.

Hello, my name is Joshua Moore. Welcome to my blog. I write about life and its grind. Hope you find inspiration here as you overcome the ape.

Want Is Not Enough

Want Is Not Enough

Want is not enough to accomplish anything.  Even a deep, passionate, unstoppable desire is not enough to achieve anything.  It takes action to get things done.  If you’re not physically inching yourself forward to get closer to your goal, then expect your goal to remain way out of reach.  Consider it an impossibility, something that will never happen.  If you’re not willing to work on your ambitions, you are left with fantasies.  Fantasies feel good and pass the time pleasantly enough and can remain fresh and young as you age and run out of time.  There are many individuals out there that feel like their fantasy is something that is meant to be.  Many feel confident that the pieces of destiny will fall in place as your purpose in life unravels like a butterfly shedding its cocoon.  Without action, your purpose in life will remain untouchable.

Purpose, destiny or goals, however you identify with your future self, is chosen by you.  There are millions of us walking around with a strong sense of destiny and millions of us will go to the grave having never tasted the slightest bit of that purpose.  If you’re not working on your dream, it will not happen.  Maybe you feel like if it’s meant to be it will happen.  What you work towards may happen but unquestionably nothing will happen without effort.  You literally must “do it”.  This is common sense 101 that is overlooked often.  Again – if you feel like you have a purpose in life, that purpose will go unfulfilled without you driving it forward.  You must hammer the stake forward every day.  There is more unfulfilled purpose in the world than fulfilled purpose, do not protect or blind yourself from this fact.  Your destiny will lay to waste without a sincere effort to accomplish it.

Want is not enough.  What are you doing to create and carve your purpose out of this life?  If you’ve given up, start the flame again and carry it further than ever before, find a way.  Some of you have ambitions that will take a lifetime of work to achieve.  Are you working on it now?  Get to work, find your way, time is not waiting.  No exceptions, no excuses, no regrets.  Overcome the ape.
